Patna: A shop selling motor parts and engine oil was set ablaze by miscreants near Raghopur under Bihta police station in Patna district on Saturday night. Some vehicles parked near the shop were also set on fire.
The owner of the shop, Mahendra Vishwakarma, said property worth Rs 40 lakh was gutted in the fire. Fire tenders took hours to douse the flames.
In his complaint, Vishwakarma informed the police that the incident occurred after he closed the shop and left for home.“Around midnight, I received information about the fire. It seems my shop was set on fire by miscreants,” he said.
SHO of Bihta police station, Sunil Kumar Jaiswal, said, “Police are investigating the case from all angles. Footage of the CCTV cameras is being scanned to identify the miscreants and arrest them,” he added.
