VBA asks MVA for details of seat sharing between Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP | Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: The Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) has asked Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to communicate to it details of the seat-sharing adjustment between Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP-Sharadchandra Pawar by Tuesday.
In their letters to Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) supremo Sharad Pawar and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, state VBA chief Rekha Thakur and vice-president Dhairyavardhan Pundkar said knowing the number of seats given to each party will help it understand whom to negotiate with for seats “to unseat [PM Narendra] Modi and BJP-RSS in the upcoming elections”.
Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said a crucial meeting of MVA will be held on Tuesday and Ambedkar has agreed to attend it. “But his stand that MVA’s three parties distribute the seats first and then take a decision on VBA…has never happened before….Ambedkar knows…politics well, he knows that we are ready to give him the seats he wants,” Raut said. — Chaitanya Marpakwar
