The Yami Gautam and Priyamani starrer ‘Article 370‘ has proven to be a box office hit, raking in Rs 10.25 crore on its third day. The film, which initially faced skepticism for its technical and political issues, has defied expectations, earning praise from both audiences and critics.
Expressing her gratitude on social media, Yami Gautam took to X (formerly Twitter) to acknowledge the film’s success and address the skeptics who doubted its appeal. In her post, she stated, “When we were making ‘Article 370,’ so many people told us that this film wouldn’t work with the audience; ‘it’s too technical, too many political jargons, etc.’. But we went ahead with our guts because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience.”
The actress went on to thank the audience for proving the doubters wrong and showering love on their “small little film with a big heart.” The film’s impressive box office figures on the opening day, reaching Rs 6.12 crores, and its continuous success in the following days, accumulating a total of Rs 25.45 crores in just two days, solidify its status as a significant hit.
Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, ‘Article 370’ delves into true events, offering a compelling narrative infused with political intrigue, national security, and gripping action sequences. Alongside Yami Gautam and Priyamani, the film features stellar performances from Arun Govil and Vaibhav Tatwawadi.
