TNRPOA members stage protest demanding fixing of state-level seniorities | Coimbatore News – Times of India

COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Revenue Department Promotee Officials Association (TNRPOA) members staged a protest on the district collectorate premises here on Monday evening, demanding that the state government fix the state level seniorities based on the date of joining when the village administrative officers (VAOs) promoted as assistants in the revenue department.They also demanded that the government implement the existing old pension scheme.
TNRPOA district president S Mahalingam, A Radhakrishnan, district secretary, Tamil Nadu Government Employees Union (TNGEU) state vice- president Balan and members of TNRPOA participated in the protest.
They demanded that the CPS (contributory pension scheme) be cancelled and the old pension scheme be re-implemented.
Disciplinary action should be taken against the officers and officials of the commissionerate of revenue administration who are responsible for fixing the discriminatory seniorities only to the promoted village administrative officers.
They also added that they would intensify their protest if the state government failed to implement their demands.
