Moose Wala case witnesses miss court due to lawyers’ strike | Chandigarh News – Times of India

Bathinda: Two key witnesses in rapper Shubhdeep Singh @ Sidhu Moose Wala murder case again could not make it to the court for recording their statement due to strike by the lawyers at Mansa district courts on Friday. No proceedings could take place as the lawyers, acting on a call given by Chandigarh Bar Association, stayed away from the court in Mansa, hence Gurwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh couldn’t be produced.
Earlier, they had sought exemption from personal appearance citing health grounds during the last two hearings on May 20 and July 5.
The case was adjourned to Aug 16.However, many of the accused, including Lawrence Bishnoi, appeared before the court through video conferencing. Accused Deepak Tinu, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Deepak Mindi and Kapil Pandit didn’t appear. TNN
