Linocut, Mid Day Sun, orders Englishmen, Mad dogs, handprinted on paper, Mariann Johansen-Ellis

only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the Mid Day sun.... this is a Noel Coward song, you can find it on Youtube, with what has to be the most un pc lyrics existing today! Great fun though... in a very bizarre way and a timely reminder that we have moved forward!

WHAT IS A LINOCUT?: linocuts layered on top of each other, creates a contemporary feel to this handprinted linocut, I printed the bottom plate with the stylized sun in a lovely warm yellow, the second plate with the dachshound in orders a light grey and the top plate in a sooty black. You can talk to me about custom colors if you want?
Using this time consuming technique also means that no 2 prints are totally alike, making your linocut a truly original print.

SIZE: Mid Day Sun is printed on a beautiful piece of warm white printmaking paper, the actual paper measures 49 cm x 63 cm (19" x 25") leaving plenty of room for you to frame this to become a real focal point in your room.
The image itself measures 43cm x 55 cm (17" x 21.5")
EDITION: I print Mid Day Sun in a short edition of 50 prints.
I have signed, titled and numbered the print, please be aware I can't guarantee you receive the number in the photo.

SHIPPING: Your linocut is mailed to you from my studio in Denmark, protected by tissuepaper and cellophane, it comes with a flier explaining how and what a linocut is.
