Chessmen vintage barkcloth, 1940s fabric, orders DIY pillow

This is an amazing pattern, made by Saison Happily Married Fabrics in the 1950s. It shows chess pieces in white, magenta, and chartreuse, with leaves that look like clover, to represent luck in the game, I guess.

This piece was damaged during its six decades of storage. It looks like some kind of liquid spilled on it -- maybe water -- and sat for a long time. I soaked and washed this piece and a orders lot of the stain lifted, but it's still visible from the front and back. I didn't put this in the dryer, so you could try another tactic to lift the stain.

This piece was never used, but was stored since the day it was purchased, in the 1950s. The colors are 100 percent as is the fabric strength. This piece is a little oversized, so you can decide whether to turn this into a pillow or frame it.

This piece has its left-hand selvedge, with no writing or pattern name. Other three sides are unfinished.
