Carved African Female Bust Vintage Authentic orders Ebony/Mahogany

orders Hand carved wooden African female bust sculpture. I believe this may be macassar ebony which is prized for it's visible grain lines. The artist has very skillfully used the grain of the wood to highlight and enliven the facial features of this beautiful bust. Spare and elegant. I believe the figure is in a headdress. The features are gorgeous. Look closely at how the grain has lit up the eyes given them a golden iris and black pupil. The neck is long and elegant and the lips and nose are lovely. A beautiful piece of African art that will look great in any decor. The wood on this piece is very dense and quite heavy. So gorgeous!
