Taylor Smith & Taylor Covered orders Round Vegetable Bowl / Tureen 1662 - Vintage TST

This fabulous covered round vegetable dish/tureen from Taylor Smith & Taylor features a light blue band, gold trim and a floral center (pattern 1662). It has rounded handles and a removable lid. The base is underglaze marked with green laurel leaf Taylor Smith & Taylor backstamp ("2 42 5") and an overglaze gold decorator mark. Dates to the early 1940s.

Lid has a small CHIP on the inside rim (picture #10) and wear to gold knob on lid. No damage to bowl. Minimal signs of age/use. Manufacture underglaze paint errors.

Measures: 8" diameter (w/o handles); 3" tall (w/o lid)
