The history of KLM houses

Since 1952, the KLM cottages have been offered to passengers on board for KLM flights in Business and Royal Class.

There are 101 different cottages that are numbered from 1-101.
In the houses there is Dutch jenever, 35% alcohol, they are actually bottles with a cork and seal on orders it.
On flights to some countries with alcohol restrictions, empty houses are issued.
On a number of houses there is a sticker that clarifies this by referring to customs regulations. (Empty due to customs regulations on this flight)
Sometimes there is a cork and seal (wax) on it, sometimes there is nothing on the empty bottles.

In 1994, KLM issued several houses, bringing the number to the number of years that KLM existed.

When KLM wanted to start issuing these miniature bottles in 1952, airlines were not allowed to give gifts to their customers due to unfair competition. KLM has therefore had a number of Delft houses made and filled with jenever. Then, of course, their competitors complained "KLM gives gifts to their customers". KLM said: "Can we decide for ourselves how we serve our drinks? Or is there a law that says drinks must be served in a glass?"
... and so it all began.
