It's a good quality leather but they used something to coat it with to create a shiny coat and that is not the best quality thing ever so improper cleaning will damage the shine factor These are priced higher because they are a better style than a lot of those on the resale market (look like a newer style as well) and also the condition. They remind me a lot of rag & bone. Categorized this as an ankle shaft height because I could only choose between ankle and mid calf but this looks like it will fall in between the ankle and mid calf — it's not quite mid calf lengt.
