Something old, something new.
The "old" is this antique Thermoplastic photo frame, from the 1860's. It has its original brass fittings and velvet liner, but has lost its photo. I have replaced the photo with a "new" element; my original drawing of a Lover's Eye. orders These little eye paintings were popular mementoes well before the Civil War. The folding case features two relief images, front and back. The case closes easily with a snap. There seems to be a small repair on the edge of part of the frame.

Case can stand on its own, or be closed and carried onto your own private battlefield
Measures 2 1/2" by 3" when closed, 5" by 3" opened. About 1" thick when closed
