Vintage Counted Cross-Stitch - English Country Cottage - Finished orders Work

Counted cross-stitch is painting a picture with thread, starting with a chart and blank cloth. Each stitch is placed according to the chart to eventually and painstakingly create the cloth masterpiece. We are honored to include on our site several vintage counted cross-stitch pieces created by an older family member. Each piece has been pressed and mounted on foam board, ready to frame, but can be removed if you wish to finish and use the piece in some other way, like a wall hanging or pillow. We will list the original pattern name when available, but since these are vintage, some of the patterns have long since disappeared.

English Country Cottage is a small picture - 6" x 8.5",and done on 28 count cloth (28 stitches per linear inch-roughly 39,984+ stitches). The stitching has been doubled in some areas to provide a depth dimension to the picture, along with outline stitching to emphasize detail. Truly a one of a kind work of art.
