I first saw our Blue Heron standing on a rock in Monterey Bay. He was intent on getting his meal and didn't pay me any attention. I snapped several photos of him and this is the one I selected for your painting. It should bring years of enjoyment as you sit and look at it, imagining what the orders bird will get for his meal.
