Art Deco 'Egyptian' vase by Roger Guerin, Bouffioulx, Belgium.
A beautiful art deco vase in grès with the typical salt glaze for which the region around Bouffioulx (Châtelet, Belgium) is known.
Roger Guérin (1896-1954), was together with Edgard Aubry, one of the Grand Masters in grès. Both presented their work, inter alia, at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes of 1925 in Paris.
Clearly marked and orders hand painted.
