I always try to visit botanical gardens when I travel, as they make great places to get amazing images. I captured this moment in the early morning as the misters started watering the tropical orchids. They're beautiful in Hawaii; in Colorado we just don't have that much humidity.

About the process:

My work begins with a photograph taken on my travels as I explore the world. I work with them to create a digital collage, then print using a special process that allows me to transfer the image to another surface that I've also hand-made.
