This sailboat art is painted onto a shingle slate tile. This tile came off a house that was over 100 year sold and was owned by a sea captain in Maine. The edges around this shingle tile are natural and worn down from the outside elements. I love orders the character of this tile. There are two holes drilled into the top of the tile perfect for a hanging bracket. These holes were from the shingle being used. This shingle tile would make such a unique and thoughtful gift for a nautical or sailboat lover. This art has been sprayed with a clear coat varnish to protect the paint. To create this art I used dotting tools and acrylic paints. Each piece of art I create is unique and is never identical!
