An old red barn is abandoned in the rolling hills in my Original Appliqued Landscape quilt. Fields of gold wheat and mottled green batik hint that harvest time is months away. The red barn was orders first painted with inks on muslin then appliqued and quilted to the background. Rows of tiny broken fences and neglected hedges separate the rolling hills.

This piece is mounted on artist's canvas and wood bars, like a painting and measures 16" x 20". And can be easily displayed in your country chic home or office...with just a push pin.

I'm always drawn to pictures of old barns and silos. I cherish the memories of road trips with my family, singing in harmony, to pass the time, mile after mile across the American heartland.
