After years of paintings and installations I decided to try a new medium: clay. Working with clay has allowed me to express my creativity in a whole new way. I fell in love with the meditative process of making functional and non-functional pottery. This is one of my favorite vases, it is hand built. I used white clay and decorated the vase with whimsical drawings using bright red and black underglaze. It was then coated with a clear glaze.
