Love Token C orders Hamelin

This is a Victorian love token beautifully engraved with the name C. Hamelin. It is a Canadian dime from the 1800's.
These love tokens were given as signs of affection and made into bracelets, necklaces for women and fobs for men. They were held as signs of hope that a loved one would return from a trip or a war. Today they are highly collected as part of a new tradition of gathering one's relatives and friends' names or monograms to place on orders bracelets, keychains or necklaces.
