This custom baby quilt makes a great baby shower gift, baptism gift, christening gift, birthday gift, or any kind of gift! It can be used as a crib quilt, orders stroller/car seat blanket, play mat, for tummy time, or wall hanging. It would make a wonderful gift for any new mom as a newborn gift.

Quilt size is approximately 45 x 45 inches.

The entire pieced quilt is made, start-to-finish, in my home sewing studio. The fabric is purchased and cut into the appropriate sizes. The quilt top and binding are machine stitched for precision and durability. Quilting is “free-motion” using my longarm machine. The quilt top is 100% cotton; the batting is 100% polyester which makes the quilt lightweight and puffy; the backing is polyester fleece making the quilt soft and cuddly. As with any item that is handmade, there may be some minor imperfections, but that just adds to its uniqueness.

This quilt is machine washable. I recommend using the gentle cycle in cold water. To minimize any color bleeding, toss in a “color catcher” sheet on the first wash. Tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry or line dry. The quilt will become softer with a puffier appearance after washing and drying. After laundering you may enjoy the crinkly quilted look or feel free to lightly press to achieve a smoother look.
