Lucknow: Christmas weekend, coupled with the balmy December afternoon, drew people to public places in hordes, with over 18,000 people visiting Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park, on Sunday.
Anticipating an even larger turnout on Monday, authorities claimed to have stepped up their efforts to play a warm host to the visitors. According to the zoological park administration, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that the visitors do not face any kind of inconvenience.
The zoo administration has made special provisions for those who book their tickets online.“For spectators who book tickets online, there will be separate counters at both entrances from where they can get wristbands without having to wait in queue. Big gates of both entrances will be opened for entry,” said an official.
Besides, authorities also claimed that police personnel would be deployed to ensure the safety of people and to ensure smooth traffic movement.
