Gurgaon: Government agencies should provide services at doorstep for those who cannot reach out to the government departments for various reason, said deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala and urged government officials to step out of the comfort of their offices and hit the ground to fulfil the requirements of the people.
Chautala was in the city on Monday to participate in the Susashan Diwas programme. He said to bring transparency, the government is providing nearly 600 services through an online portal.
Deputy chief minister said the state is preparing Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) for every family which is helpful in doorstep delivery of services and benefits. “The state is also planning to set up a small ATM at ration depot so that people can withdraw money upto Rs 5,000. Taxation has been simplified by reducing inspector raj. Now, farmers can leave the market within a few hours after selling their crop and money is transferred to their account within 48 hours,” Chautala said.
He highlighted that in alignment with the age-old concept of good governance deeply rooted in Indian culture, the present government has been consistently working to provide citizens with facilities, services, and solutions to their problems. In pursuit of this goal, the government has reformed the existing system.
