Ahmedabad: The state commissioner of primary education has approved applications of five private primary schools in Ahmedabad city to close from the 2024-25 academic year starting June 1. The schools had applied to discontinue as they could not maintain the minimum required number of students.
Sources said that Kameshwar Vidyalay in Jodhpur, New Parag School in Asarwa, Delight Primary School in Sabarmati and DS Raval Primary School in Naranpura will close.On the other hand, the department approved new primary schools Krishnam International Gujarati medium and English medium schools in Vatva, United Valley School in Vastral, Geneva Liberal School in Sarkhej and KS Dedhiya School for deaf and dumb in Sola. tnn
