Ahmedabad: The spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, visited the city and addressed community members on the death anniversary of the community’s 32nd Dai, Syedna Qutubkhan Qutbuddin. Syedna Mufaddal is the 53rd Dai.
About 35,000 devotees thronged the city and the Syedna delivered a sermon at Qutbi Masjid in Astodia. The Syedna spoke about the virtues and martyrdom of the 32nd Dai at Karanj on the Sabarmati riverbank. He visited the mausoleum at Saraspur before meeting community members.
Dawoodi Bohras have been an active and integral part of the socio-cultural and economic landscape of the city and state. More than 8,000 members of the community live in Ahmedabad.tnn
