Ahmedabad: The registration deadline for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET) has been extended to January 22, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) said on Tuesday.
The previous deadline for registrations, which opened on January 2, was January 16. GSHSEB sources said 1.20 lakh students had registered so far, but many others could not register within the deadline, so the date was extended.
GujCET is the state’s common entrance test for admission to degree and diploma courses in engineering and pharmacy after Class 12.The test is conducted for all Class 12 science students who have opted for A, B, or AB groups. In its statement, the board said the registration fee remains Rs 350.
The board had announced that the exam would be on April 2. However, as the date collided with the CBSE final exams, the board rescheduled it to March 31.TNN
