Ahmedabad: A thief stole valuables worth Rs 1.67 lakh after smashing the window of a car that was parked near the Mahila police station near AMA on Tuesday afternoon.
The car owner, Dr Sushma Shah, 54, a gynecologist working at SVP Hospital in Ellisbridge, filed a complaint at Gujarat University police station for theft against an unknown person. Shah, a resident of Manekbaug Society in Ambawadi, said she had gone to attend a seminar for doctors at AMA on Tuesday afternoon.
She had parked her car on the footpath near the Women’s police station opposite AMA. When she returned at 7pm, she found the window glass broken. A pair of shoes, a diamond pendant and a power bank, together worth Rs 1.67 lakh, were stolen.
