At 20°c, Min Temp 6.8 Degrees Higher Than Normal | Ahmedabad News – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: On Monday, the city’s minimum temperature was 20°C, which was 6.8 degrees more than normal temperature. It was one of the highest minimum temperatures for the city this winter.
Across Gujarat, too, minimum temperature remained in range of 18 to 20 degrees at majority of the weather stations. At 15.4°C in Naliya, it was the lowest, whereas at 22.1°C in Okha, it was the highest.
To put the temperature in perspective, on Feb 5 last year, the minimum temperature in Ahmedabad was 13.1°C or 7 degrees lower than the Monday temperature. On Sunday, too, the minimum temperature was 5 degrees higher than normal.
Maximum temperature, too, was 1.8 degrees higher than normal at 29.8°C in Ahmedabad. Keshod at 33.6°C had the highest maximum temperature, followed by 33.2°C in Valsad.
While some parts of north India are reeling under cold wave for the past few days, the forecast for Gujarat indicated that the minimum temperature is likely to remain higher than normal this week. In Ahmedabad, minimum temperature on Tuesday is likely to be around 19°C. The weather change has caused double season effect.

On Sunday, Ahmedabad experienced a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, which was 5 degrees higher than normal. The maximum temperature also remained high at 33.6 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees above the normal. The India meteorological department (IMD) forecast predicts a gradual fall in the minimum temperature by 2-3 degrees over the next 24 hours.
