Ahmedabad: Two motorcycle-borne men snatched away an income tax officer’s mobile phone when he was walking near Panjrapol Crossroads in Navrangpura on Saturday night.
I-T officer (headquarters coordination) Nitin Baghla, a resident of Naranpura, in his complaint with Gujarat University police said that his phone contained sensitive departmental data.
Baghla said he was walking in front of Vision Complex at 10.30pm on Saturday, talking on his phone. Two men on a motorcycle, aged between 20 and 25, snatched his phone and sped off. Baghla said he could not see the numberplate as it was dark.
He first filed an e-FIR in and later he went to the police station with the requisite documents and submitted them to the police, who registered a complaint of snatching against two unknown men and began a probe. tnn
