Ahmedabad: Even policemen do not seem to be secure in the city with a cop of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) losing his mobile phone to a thief in the city’s oldest flea market, the Gujari or Ravivari bazaar near Lal Darwaza.
Bhavesh Patel, 42, a resident of Sector 14 in Gandhinagar, in his FIR with Sabarmati Riverfront (East) police said he had gone shopping at Gujari bazaar on Sunday morning.While he was shopping, he realized that his mobile phone, worth Rs 15,000, was missing from his shirt pocket. Patel filed a police complaint for theft.
In another incident, a Law Garden resident, Asha Shah, 44, filed a complaint with Sabarmati Riverfront (East) police alleging that her cellphone, worth Rs 10,000, was stolen while she was shopping at Gujari bazaar on Sunday. tnn
